Public Comment Period
This is the time for members of the public to present issues of concern or interest to the Board.  All issues requiring further research will be forwarded to the appropriate staff for response at a later time.  Each speaker will be limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes, and the format shall be limited to presentation only.  The Board will not engage with any speaker during this Public Comment period. Personal attacks and disagreements, personnel and employment matters, the use of profanity or ethnic, racial or gender-oriented slurs are prohibited, as is any "disorderly conduct" which violates State or Local law and shall not be permitted. If an individual disregards these rules, they will be asked to leave the Commissioner's Meeting Room.

Public Health

Consideration and possible authorization of the Chair's signature on an Intergovernmental Agreement between Ouray County and Montrose County Public Health concerning vital statistics, as reviewed by counsel.  Montrose County Public Health will perform all Ouray County functions associated with the issuing of certificates, collecting, compiling, and tabulating of reports of birth and death records.  Montrose shall retain the fees it collects for the issuing of birth and death certificates.

Public Works

Consideration and possible authorization of the Chair's signature on the construction contract for the 2024 paint striping project awarding the work to Stripe A Lot of Montrose in the amount of $181,669.90, as reviewed by Counsel. Upon approval, a purchase order will be issued to Stripe A Lot in the amount of $181,669.90.

Public Works

Consideration and possible authorization of the Chair's signature on the Second Amendment to the Construction Contract for Installation of CIP Class D Concrete for the Carnation Road and 5900 Road Box Culvert Projects in the amount of $20,839.59, as reviewed by Counsel. The project was awarded to Con-Sy Inc. on December 6, 2023. The Second Amendment is due to changes in the design of the box culvert wing walls and to expedite the schedule. The Second Amendment increases the contract amount from $356,093.00 to $376,932.59.
